Welcome to our Wisconsin scrapbooking retreat!

For those of you that are curious, here’s a little bit about myself. My name is Patti Green and I am the owner and founder of Green Haven Retreat.

My husband, Dan, and I have been very fortunate to have spent most of our lives living in Eau Claire near our extended families. We are blessed to have all four of our children living here in Eau Claire as well. I’m the proud grandma of three grandchildren! Which means more pictures to take, if it’s possible to take more than I already do…

Dan and I have been business owners for more than 25 years. We started a heating and cooling company in 1983, and it's been going strong ever since. In 2000, my sister, Beth and I purchased Picture This, a local scrapbook and stamping store. We sold the store in 2006, and I managed to stay out of the scrapbook business for two whole years. Scrapbooking has been such a huge part of my life over the last 10 years. I created my first scrapbook album in 1998 for my daughter's high school graduation gift. Ever since I haven't been able to stay away. I still scrapbook once a week with my sister-in-law and another friend. It's this strong desire to preserve memories and encourage others to do so, that led me to open a Wisconsin scrapbooking retreat.

It is most definitely all of the blessings in life that have inspired me to scrapbook. Raising children creates so many memories on a daily basis. You all know how quickly we forget it, unless we preserve it! Just writing this brief bio has stirred up still frames in my mind. I can see my daughter Leah on her wedding day, Jesse stepping off the plane and touching US soil after 12 months away in the Middle East, Sarah walking across the stage at graduation, and Rachel swinging as high as she could possibly go on our tire swing. The beauty of scrapbooking is that each and every one of these precious memories is captured forever. My grandchildren will page through these books that I have created years from now and learn about their family as I tell them stories about those special days.
